Terms and conditions of sale

The following terms and conditions apply when you buy from our webshop.

Prices and payment

When you buy from the Museum of National History’s webshop, you can pay with the following payment cards: Visa, Visa/Dankort, Mastercard and American Express. There is no fee for payment. All prices are in Danish kroner (DKK) and include VAT. You will never be charged more than what you have approved at the time of purchase.

When buying an electronic ticket

If you buy an electronic ticket, you will receive the ticket in your browser and via e-mail after you have paid online. You must either print the ticket and bring it to the museum or scan the ticket from your phone or tablet on arrival at the museum. In addition to the ticket, you will receive an order confirmation in the e-mail.

There is no right of withdrawal for tickets. In addition, online purchases of tickets are not covered by the right of withdrawal in accordance with Forbrugeraftaleloven (the Consumer Contracts Act), cf. section 18 of the Act. para. 2, no. 12. Therefore, the ticket is non-refundable.

When buying goods

Once you have placed an order in our webshop, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail. We aim to ship the ordered goods within three working days from receipt of the order. Reservations are made for discontinued items. We ship with Post Nord and cannot take responsibility for Post Nord’s delivery times.

The items sold from the webshop are dependent on the user’s input and choice, so any errors in the user’s input or choice are not the responsibility of the company. However, the user can always contact the company to change an incorrect entry.

Shipping Rates

Shipments to Denmark: DKK 50 regardless of the number of items.
International shipments will vary according to the country.

Returns & customer complaints

If an item is defective, you can receive a replacement or a refund. Your complaint must be justified and the defect must not have occurred due to the incorrect use or inappropriate handling of the product. You must submit a complaint to butik@dnm.dk within 14 days of receiving the item.

We need the following information when you return the item:

– What is the problem with the item?

– A copy of the invoice so we can refund the money.

Please note that we do not accept packages sent cash on delivery or by similar means.

Remember that the item must always be returned in the proper packaging and you must obtain a receipt for shipment costs so that we can refund you.

Incorrect or damaged products will be returned and replaced free of charge.

Right of withdrawal when buying goods

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal when you shop at the Museum of National History. The right of withdrawal begins from the day you receive the item.

The right of withdrawal can only be invoked if the item is returned in the same condition and quantity. The right of withdrawal will lapse if you use the product in a way that reduces the sales value of the product(s).

If you change your mind about the purchase, the goods must be returned to:

If you change your mind about the purchase, you will be refunded the same amount you paid. The amount will be transferred to the card that you used to pay, once we have received the item back and checked that it is intact. You are responsible for paying the return postage. Please note that we do not accept packages sent cash on delivery or by similar means.

General terms and conditions

The customer is covered by the rights set out in the Danish Marketing Act and the Danish Act on Certain Consumer Contracts. It is assumed that the customer is familiar with the Museum of National History’s terms of trading.

Managing personal information

Your personal information is treated in the strictest confidence and is only used to process your order. Your information will not be passed on to third parties.
Legislative requirements for traders’ accounts mean that we must retain your personal data for five years.

The Museum of National History at Frederiksborg complies with the Danish Marketing Act, as well as the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation.
